Bataan: Stella Mariz Beach Resort
Overnight camping is what brought us here. There could have been other places but what made us pick this place is that I actually have never been to Bataan.
At 5AM, we stuffed our bags and tent in the car and drove towards Bataan.

To get here, we took NLEX, then exited towards SCTEX. We headed South on SCTEX then took Dinalupihan Exit, turning right at the Provincial Highway.
Then we turned right onto Gov. JJ Linao National Road, the same road that leads to Mt. Samat Rd. Just follow the sign to Mt Samat. We drove for another 45 minutes with curve roads ahead. Once we saw the Fil Jap Friendship tower, we knew we were near. From the tower, if we turn left, the road will lead us to Bagac town proper and the famous Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. We drive straight ahead to get to Stella Mariz Beach Resort.

I thought bread, some chips and water would survive us overnight. When we couldn't stand our hunger anymore, we decided to look for food and went out of the compound. One guy said there might not be any cariendera open because it was already late (at 6:30 PM)! We took our chances and decided to go to the the town proper. Good thing we found a carienderia near the Fil Jap Friendship tower! We ordered chopsuey and tinolang manok and I must admit, they taste delicious. Now we have satisfied tummies.
As we consumed the remaining time of our night by the beach, we were glad to have come here. It's Alviss' first time to camp and sleep inside the tent even for a short while.. well, it was humid and it was getting hotter inside the tent. So we all decided to sleep in the car!!!
This is not a commercialized resort so I didn't expect too much. Their toilets and shower rooms would be a challenge for those who are used to hotel or any luxury accommodations. What I did enjoy is the beach. The sand is powdery, the water is calm, the seabed is clean, there is a guy who is some sort of a life guard who calls onto anyone who attempts to go farther and to remind adults to watch over their kids.
