Pangasinan - Bolinao

After our visit in Manaoag Shrine, we opted to go to the Northern part of Pangasinan - Bolinao. Our plan initially was to stay overnight in San Fabian but according to a friend who visited there before, the sand isn't enticing.

We left the Shrine at 10AM and followed the road heading towards Alaminos City. In Alaminos, we took a quick lunch at McDonalds and then drove again towards Bolinao.

We reached Bolinao at 12noon.

We didn't make any reservation for room accommodation prior to our visit. Madami namang resorts in Bgy Molino to choose from and one of the cheapest is Villa Carolina Resort.

This isn't my first time in Villa Carolina. I stayed here in 2009 with friends but we stayed in the newer rooms. We swam in the cold waters of Enchanted Cave, visited 2 falls and prayed in Cathedral.

We availed an airconditioned kubo house for only 3500 per night. Pretty basic accommodation and I honestly think the kubo needs maintenance. You gotta be careful with the flies when eating at their "eating area". Btw, you can cook food using their stove with additional charge (P500 for the whole day) but if you just want to grill food then it is free.

It has 2 double beds. The mattress are thin as well as the pillows. Towels are not available.

Private toilet and bath needs a little more cleaning.

What I like about this resort aside from its rate is their swimming pool. Lifevests are available and we were advised to use it if we wish to use their slides.

I also like the idea that this resort is in front of a long shoreline. As expected the sand isn't black :)

We didn't enjoy the beach because of the seaweeds. Literally, seaweeds EVERYWHERE! Yeah, the water's shallow but who's gonna enjoy swimming in a shallow water full of seaweeds? Thank goodness there's a pool, at least na enjoy naman namin ang pagswim at kahit umaambon, enjoy pa din ang pagswimming.

endless seaweeds along the shoreline
It rained that night so we decided to call it a day. I guess at 8PM we were all snoring! :)

We woke up early just in time to catch the sunrise. I love the view.

We left the resort at 10AM and started our way towards Manila.
