Grandview Tower Hotel

started this tradition two years ago that every christmas eve we will spend it outside of our home. You see, we have a small family and the past years we always end up sleeping before midnight because of exhaustion preparing for Noche Buena. It was not an ideal christmas feel that I want.

On our first year, 2013, we spent it in Intramuros. Then last year, 2014, we spent Christmas eve in Clark where we stayed at Grandview Tower Hotel.

This is one of the cheapest hotels near Clark. It is a pretty new condo-hotel building located at Don Juico Avenue, Angeles. It is just outside Clark FreePort Zone, very near SM Clark.

I couldn't find their website and the one found in their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/grandviewtowerph, is not working. I booked online through Agoda for a Family room with complimentary breakfast for four.

We were led to the basement parking and noticed it's not yet fully finished. We got confused as to where to park because almost all slots were reserved with names on the wall. Good thing we found a security guard to ask and we were told to park at one of the reserved slots he was sure won't be used for the duration of our stay. We went up through elevator to the Reception area where we were greeted by a friendly and pretty Staff.

After filling up forms, the receptionist asked for a deposit (which I forgot how much, I think 500 or 1000 pesos). She then gave us our food stubs we need to present when claiming our complimentary breakfast. Lastly she handed the key to our room.

Our room was great. The only bad comment is the view from the balcony. Yes, there is a small balcony but it is not a pretty area to hang around because of the view.

Breakfast. We went to their restaurant at the 8th floor. It's an open restaurant/bar and beside it is a pool. We didn't dare plunge in the pool as it was so cold and the wind was strong making us freeze. It was also for the same reason we decided to eat our breakfast in our room.

We were delighted to see big servings of Filipino and American set of breakfasts. After munching our food, we rested until it was time to check out.

Overall, it was a nice stay and will I choose to stay here again given a chance? Definitely yes!!
