Butuan-Surigao Del Sur-Surigao Del Norte-Butuan : Itinerary and Expenses

It felt like we were on a show, the "Amazing Race", because we were constantly on a bus or van or tricycle moving from point A to point B. Creating an itinerary is highly recommended to maximize the places in a very limited time.

Here's how we survived our so called Amazing Race Surigao!

Day 1: Red line.  >> From Butuan City International Airport, we rented a van going to the Bus Terminal. Then rode a bus with a Tandag signage. Since we'll be visiting Britannia Islets, did not need to reach Tandag, instead we alighted in Salvacion Junction in San Agustin. This is also where we stayed for the night, at La Entrada Resort.

Day 2: Green line.  >> From Salvacion, San Agustin, we rode a bus going to Barobo terminal and from the terminal, we took another bus going to Mangagoy, Bislig. Here we met our tourguides.

Purple line.  >> At the end of the tour, our guide dropped us at Hinantuan terminal. There we rode a van going to Barobo terminal. We stayed for the night at an Inn just across the terminal.

Day 3: Pink line. >> From Barobo terminal, we rode a van going to a bridge under construction. From there, we crossed the bridge by foot. We took a van going to Tandag City bus terminal. In Tandag bus terminal, we rode a Ceres bus with a Surigao signage but we alighted in Claver, Here, we spent the whole day in motion. We left Barobo terminal in the morning and it was almost dark when we reached Claver. This is where we spent the night.

Day 4: Gray line >> After our Bucas Grande tour in the afternoon, we rode a van going to Bad-as Junction and from there we rode a bus with Davao City signage. We dropped off at Butuan City and stayed for a night. Our day 5 is an early flight back to Manila.

So there... exhausting but worth it!

Here's a summary of our trip. This is Plan B. Had it been we pushed through with the original plan, we could have gone straight to Tandag City on Day 2 and stayed there for a night. Then Day 3 could have been our Bucas Grande tour with overnight in Cinnamon Island.  But because Bucas Grande area was just recently struck by a typhoon, it was closed on the day of our supposed tour.

Anyway, so here it goes...

Here's a summary of our expenses. Food and airfare not included.
