Dapitan City - Day 3 & 4 :: Dakak Park Beach Resort

Day 3 - Nov 22, 2015

After we checked out our stuff that morning and settled our bills at Travelbee Inn, we stayed at their restaurant while waiting for the van to bring us to Dakak Park Beach Resort for an overnight stay.

I booked online via Dakak's website and selected a package good for two. I only had to pay 10% thru credit card and the remaining balance can be settled at the resort. This package includes room accommodation, buffet breakfast, entrance to Fantasyland, and van pickup/transfer.

I made sure to inform the resort via a phone call that we will come from Travelbee Inn. They were okay with that and we were advised van will arrive around 1:00 - 1:30 PM. Good thing, the van arrived earlier, at 12:00 Noon. The driver, all dressed in his uniform, greeted us politely and picked our bag and brought it at the back of the van.

Thirty minutes later, we were inside the Admin Office of Dakak Park Beach Resort.

We were given this map upon check in.
We were given welcome drinks while we wait as they process our papers. We paid the remaining balance, signed some papers, given buffet stub for buffet breakfast, entrance tickets to Fantasyland, map of the resort and keys to our room.

because we booked 2 rooms, this entire duplex was ours.

comfortable beds

living room with cable tv but limited channels.

water was delivered for boiling
basic toiletries.
there's the closet with laundry bags inside. and there's the fridge with softdrinks and juices inside for sale.

I really really like our room. The bed, pillows and comforters were soft. We slept soundly that night.

We explored the resort that afternoon. Kids were already too excited to swim in the pool.

The beach is great, with its white powdery sand and clear water. Fish can be easily seen! And what's nice about it is that we were the only people at the beach that afternoon!

We walked from one corner of the cove to the other, while kids enjoyed searching for shells. Before it gets too dark, we got back to our room.

We had dinner in a grill restaurant near our room. We are the ohly guests that night and so the place is lonely. Sayang, there's a billiard table and videoke pa naman. We could have enjoyed it much had it been we don't need to hurry for the 9PM van transfer schedule going to Fantasyland.

Gloria de Dapitan/Fantasyland -

Van transfer to/from Fantasyland is arranged upon check in. Schedules of departure are given and must be at the Front Office beforehand.

Unfortunately, I did not have enough photos (atleast to post here). But this place is a must-see. It's a small version of Enchanted Kingdom.

For P1,000 (one thousand pesos), guests gets unlimited rides and watch a show. Gate opens at 4:00PM - 12:00 MN, Tuesday - Sunday. Closed on Monday. There is a parade, fire show, dance show and fireworks display.

Their horror house is the best (at least for my hubby). He said the actors  and the lights/sound effect were good.

We definitely enjoyed Gloria De Dapitan. Though it could have been better if all rides are open and more people are there. For me, I enjoyed the show. For the kids, they enjoyed the unlimited rides. At 12AM, we headed to the van outside and went back to the resort.

Day 4 - Nov 23, 2015

Our overnight accommodation comes with a free buffet breakfast at Bamboo Restaurant, the only beach front restaurant. Food are well placed and delicious.

The rest of the day was spent enjoying the entire place. It was "bitin" actually. Wish we stayed for 2 days.

I love the environment here. It's like living in a small community, with other cottages as our neighbors. Then if we'd like to eat, we'll just to a nearby resto. Or flex our muscles in the gym. Or dance in a disco bar. It's nice.
