Bohol 2018

BOHOL

How are you awesome people?!

Let me share our Bohol trip that happened on November 2018.... I know... delayed again.. but what the heck....

We stayed for 3 Days and 2 Nights in the beautiful land of Bohol.. And I must say it is one of our favorite trips because aside from the beautiful places, we really enjoyed motorcycling around!!!!!

I had to plan carefully our tour because we only had very limited time. Our arrival time in Tagbilaran Airport is around past 2PM and so we had to carefully choose what to do afterwards.....

Our plane departed around 1PM and landed in Bohol around past 2PM. Transfer van from Belian Hotel, where we stayed for 2 nights, picked us up. This hotel is only 5 minutes away from the airport and walking is actually doable...

This is the old airport in Tagbilaran. At that time, the new airport in Panglao wasn't operational yet. Now it is...

We were able to check in at 3PM and below is what our room looks like. Pretty decent. Nothing fancy... This includes an awesome free buffet breakfast for 2!

Right after we arrived in our hotel, we immediately searched for motorcycles for rent. And just right across the hotel are folks offering motorcycles. Unfortunately, I forgot how much it costs but we rented this scooter type and it is the best rent we had while we were there.... The rental company requires a government issued ID.

Don't be shy in trying these scooters. There are tons of peeps doing the same thing - Filipino and foreigner alike. There are also cars for rent...

Here's how we squeezed these tours:

Day1: Arrival in the afternoon
     Hinagdanan Cave
Bohol Bee Farm - where we had our dinner.

Day 2:
Drove all the way to the north for: (in order)
     Man-made forest
     Chocolate Hills
     Tarsier Conservatory in Corella

Day 3: Departure in the afternoon
     Alona beach

There!

All throughout we were in the our scooter and I tell you it was fun!

Hinagdanan Cave - They close at around 5PM. Once there, you need to purchase tickets at a booth before the cave. You present those tickets at the entrance...
Bohol Bee Farm - Obviously, this is one of THE best places there.. I love their ice cream (or was it gelato? I forgot..) and edible flowers
Man-made forest - the picturesque forest..
Chocolate Hills - These hills are amazing.. I just wished I was able to do 4x4 to get a closer look
Tarsier Conservatory in Corella - there is one in Luboc but here it is more quiet, less tourist....
Alona beach - pretty disappointing. Beach reeks gas

Let me share our video for this trip. Enjoy!
