Corregidor Island: Our Last Day in Corregidor + Manila Bay Buffet Dinner Cruise

For our remaining hours on the island, we visited South Beach, South Dock and Swimming Pool, which are very near the hotel.

South Beach is just one of the many beaches in the island. I am not sure how this beach looks like during summer, but what we saw were trash everywhere. There is no way I am going to swim here in this situation. This is probably due to rainy season, waves brings trash to the shore. I remember one of the tour guides said these trash are from surrounding islands like Cavite, Bataan, Bulacan, Manila.

Their pool is upto 5ft deep only. It's just small. We spent our remaining minutes here until it's time to get ready for our check out.


MANILA BAY BUFFET DINNER CRUISE

We arrived back in Sun Cruises Ferry Terminal a little before 4:00 PM. Our next to-do is a Manila Bay Buffet Dinner Cruise. There is a 4:15 PM slot but we are scheduled for 6:00 PM slot. Since we were already there and got nothing to do, we asked if they could accommodate us for the 4:15 PM slot and they did!!!!

Apparently, our vouchers are for plated dinner only.We have to pay an additional Php100 to upgrade to buffet, which is what they are serving now.

We paid a terminal fee of Php30 again. After few minutes, we set sail.

We were initially seated at the upper deck. Upper deck is an open area where the acoustic band is placed. The buffet table, however is at the lower deck, which is an air-conditioned area.

Because it was drizzling, our group decided to eat at the lower deck. We want to be near the food!!!!

As for the food, the selection is very limited to soup, pasta, fish fillet, and another beef viand and dessert. Food is so-so.

I realized that, because of my disappointment on food, what we are paying for in this trip is really the experience of dining on a cruise ship. This is one of those okay-I-tried-it-and-nothing-spectacular-I-won't-do-it-again kind of trip (though this is my second time, but since I travel in a group and all of them haven't tried this out and so I was left with no choice but to go along with them...... ooops, defensive mode!).
